In this Chestnut Hill bungalow, a lifetime of global collecting met the realities of a smaller footprint, challenging us to reinterpret the client’s richly lived narrative through custom furnishings, Danish-style built-ins, and thoughtfully curated displays.

To accommodate beloved pieces within the home’s historic scale, we introduced selectively customized rugs and passive color stories that allowed her art and textiles to be beautifully showcased without overwhelming the space. The result is an intimate, jewel-box interior—vibrant, cultured, and deeply personal—that proves downsizing can be both luxurious and profoundly expressive when every inch is designed with intention.
